A great practitioner of Mahamudra and Dzongchen, he studied the philosophical traditions of all the four schools of Tibetan Buddhism under the guidance of his principal guru, the late Kyabje Thuksey Rinpoche (1917 - 1982) and many other great masters. Despite being responsible for the lineage, His Holiness trends untiringly to give teachings, advices and initiations that will enable his students to practice and progress according to the Drukpa tradition. At present, he is responsible for numerous Drukpa lineage monasteries in the Himalayan region as well as dharma centers around the world, most notably in Europe, Asia and America.
