His Holiness the Twelfth Gyalwang Drukpa |
|
His Holiness Jigme Pema Wangchen, the Twelfth Gyalwang Drukpa, is the spiritual head of the Drukpa Lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. A great practitioner of Mahamudra and Dzongchen, he studied the philosophical traditions of all the four schools of Tibetan Buddhism under the guidance of his principal guru, the late Kyabje Thuksey Rinpoche (1917 - 1982) and many other great masters. Despite being responsible for the lineage, His Holiness trends untiringly to give teachings, advices and initiations that will enable his students to practice and progress according to the Drukpa tradition. At present, he is responsible for numerous Drukpa lineage monasteries in the Himalayan region as well as dharma centers around the world, most notably in Europe, Asia and America.
The impact of His Holiness's simple and direct teaching is profound and has inspired a great many people throughout the world in their spiritual pursuits. Those who have already the good fortune to meet him feel, above all, personally and deeply touched by his great wisdom and compassion.

TEACHING TOUR OF THE NINTH KYABJE KHAMTRUL RINPOCHE JIGME PEMA NYINJADH |

| As part of the South East Asia Teaching Tour, The 9th Kyabje Khamtrul Rinpoche Jigme Pema Nyinjadh will commence his teaching program in Malaysia from 16 to 24 August, after Hong Kong and Taiwan. In addition he will also be giving an initiation of Guru Rinpoche. Khamtrul Rinpoche is an emanation of Guru Rinpoche and the spiritual son of His Holiness the 12th Gyalwang Drukpa, who is the supreme head of the 800-year Drukpa Lineage. It is indeed a precious opportunity where an emanation of Guru Rinpoche himself giving a Guru Rinpoche initiation!

WALKING ON THE WORLD'S ROOFTOP FOR CHARITY |

| Drukpa Publications, Pel Drukpa Charitable Trust &
Himalayas Young Drukpa Association are jointly organising a CHARITY PILGRIMAGE WALK which will begin on 23rd May 2009 and end on 3rd July 2009. The journey will start from Manali, Himachal Pradesh, and finishing in Hemis, Ladakh, covering a distance of approximately 400km, crossing about five Himalayan passes, the highest of which are Shikunla and Singgela, both measuring approximately 5,200m above sea level.
